STREET FOOD THAT IS NOT BY THE SIDE OF A STREET

I discovered a very unusual destination with ten or more stalls selling what you would typically see in open air by the roadside, except that they were all in a very clean and super organised little lane, located just before you enter the mega Central Plaza Lad Phrao mall.

Directions:
Take the underground MRT to Phahon Yothin station. Leave at EXIT 3 (Central Plaza Lat Phrao). Walk forwards as you emerged from the escalator and you will see an overhead bridge. Go up the escalator of the bridge. Turn left at the intersection of the bridge. Go down the narrow stairs at the end of it. Walk straight forward for about 200 metres and you will see this entrance to Central Plaza Lad Phrao on your right:

This lane of food stalls I am talking about is on the right as you walk towards Central Plaza's entrance. This is how the entrance looks like:

See how clean everything is? The floor, the stalls, the tables and chairs have no trace of grime at all.

The dishes offered here are usually less than 50 Baht and they have pictures that you can simply point at to order.

I bought some barbecued pork on a stick and tried one of the stalls selling soup noodles, which is my must-have on every trip. It’s lovely to have all that fresh greens and beansprouts heaped in front of you for the taking. But I demurred at the generous bowl of sugar and wondered why there are no ants scurrying all over it?
