TALAD ROD FAI OPEN-AIR BAZAAR @ RATCHADA

I just had to go and see for myself what this huge open-air bazaar is all about and it didn't disappoint. Well, yes and no. In terms of shopping, there is really nothing much to buy as the design equation simply isn't there. What you see are very run-of-mill clothing and stuff going for mostly 100 to 200 baht. But the energy of the place is amazing, with music blaring from some pubs, and you see throngs of young and beautiful Thais browsing and chilling at the many wonderfully designed cafes and bars within. There are also plenty of food stalls dotting an entire stretch of the bazaar.
It's open from Thursday to Sunday, 5pm to 1am. The layout is a neat grid of stalls side by side which makes it super easy to navigate.
Directions: Alight at Thailand Cultural Centre MRT station (Exit 3) and when you exit, you'll see  the shopping centre Esplanade Ratchada in front of you. You can just walk into the lane immediately before it and it's about 500 metres inside. This big sign says you have arrived:
