THE WORLD'S LARGEST RESTAURANT IS IN BANGKOK

Well, in 1992, it was. According to the Guinness Book of Records. 

The Royal Dragon is a Chinese-style seafood restaurant that can cater for up to 5,000 customers in one sitting. To serve them, some 1,000 staff are employed.

These 1,000 staff are not of your usual variety. Dressed as traditional Chinese maidens, they whiz around on roller skates while juggling plates of seafood. And then there are the amazing flying waiters soaring through the air on a cable and harness, delivering dishes without any spillage. Their less glamourous counterparts have to contend with washing 25,000 plates every night. 

There is air-conditioned indoor dining or free Bangkok air outdoors. Regular Thai dance, music and boxing shows keep the tourists ogling  The restaurant has an impressive range of live seafood on the premises, but also serves cuisine such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean and some European dishes.

I will probably not visit the Royal Dragon any time soon. I can just about imagine the din created by 5000 diners and the number of accidents occurring every night. Can you even guess the number of wailing babies there will be? Not to mention the various antics executed by the staff. It sounds extremely crazy for my delicate heart.
